ScreedsThe Optus Family of Screeds

Screeds

When it comes to heavy industry and busy workspaces, any manager of an industrial environment needs peace of mind in the equipment and amenities they provide for their workers and vehicles. This is where screeds can be used, usually manufactured from polyurethane, epoxy resin or methacrylate. Typically they can be applied between 2mm to 6mm depending on the location in which they are laid, the durability required and the volume of traffic that they will encounter. At the end of the day, they provide a hardwearing, clean, seamless finish for years to come and are available in numerous colours to suit individual project requirements.

Euroscreed

A relatively smooth substrate is required for the application of polyurethane based high friction coatings. To achieve this it is often necessary to regulate the existing surface with 50mm or more of Euroscreed. This is supplied as a 3 component system, (trowelled applied). A typical use is for filling between mild steel chevrons on ferry ramps. A regulating screed/scratch coat for use under Eurogrip 1500, 3000, 4500, Marine, and Decorative.

Freezercrete

Freezercrete is a three component polyurethane resin repair mortar/screed system, designed for low temperature repairs to small areas of damaged concrete. Freezercrete is a three component system which is supplied in pre-weighed packages.

Benefits

  • A cost effective infill material
  • Adheres to prepared concrete or steel
  • Impact resistant
  • Fast curing
  • Solvent free

Benefits

  • High chemical resistance
  • Fast cure at low temperatures
  • Cures at very low temperatures
  • Impact resistant
  • Can be used internally or externally
  • Withstands heavy loading

Uses

  • Regulating and filling large voids and imperfections.
  • Scratch coat for filling minor voids to control costs and achieve better coverage of polyurethane top coatings such as Eurogrip

Uses

  • Low temperature warehouses
  • Chiller rooms
  • External applications where either a low temperature or a fast cure repair is required:
  • Hardstandings
  • Lifting manhole covers
  • Rendering
  • Joint repairs
  • Slab repairs/potholes and similar

Trawlerdeck

A heavy duty screed system for marine and offshore applications. TrawlerdekThis solvent free epoxy resin weatherdeck screed was specifically developed for workboat and navy applications. It is durable, resistant to abrasion and will withstand heavy loads. Supplied in 3 components, trowel applied.

Featherdeck

A lightweight underlayment system for marine applications. This underlayment system is based on a 2 component solvent free epoxy resin combined with low density inert fillers.
